Elena Rocco,  Manager 

Elena’s passion for exercise and nutrition flourished while she attended college at Colorado State University.  She studied Psychology and Nutritional science and it was here that she became a certified personal trainer.   For the past 13 years as Certified Strength Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) Elena has worked with a variety of populations ranging from clients with spinal cord injuries to clients who have extreme weight to lose.  She loves the challenge of exercise and it’s potential to change and upgrade lives!

As a mountain girl from Montana, Elena is inspired by her surroundings and loves all things outdoors –  rock climbing, skiing, getting dirty in her garden and camping with her husband and two little girls.

Mitchell Cook,  Coach – Corporate Wellness Manager 

Mitchell originally hails from Wisconsin, where he completed his Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology-Human Performance at University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire & his Master’s degree in Clinical Exercise Physiology at UW-La Crosse.  Mitchell is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the NSCA as well as a Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist (RCEP) through the ACSM.  During the first 5 years of his training career, he has experience working with middle aged adults focused on fat loss, athletes looking to improve sport performance, cardiac and pulmonary patients rehabilitating post-surgery/diagnosis, and empowering individuals with disabilities through movement and exercise.

Mitchell enjoys spending his free time focusing on his own physical, mental, and spiritual wellness through hiking, resistance training, acro yoga, meditation, skiing, reading, researching, conversing, & cooking. He is a strong believer of establishing an open mindset for lifelong happiness and health, and lives by the daily mantra of “Better Never Stops.”

Kourtney Cannell,  Coach

Kourtney  graduated from Brigham Young University with honors and with a bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Wellness.  She is a certified HKC instructor and is  NASM certified.

Since high school she has had a passion for learning about the human body and how to improve it through exercise.  She enjoys swimming, hiking, camping, and any kind of water sport. Staying active and healthy is a high priority for her.

Madison Snarr, Coach

Madison attended Salt Lake Community College where she graduated with honors in the Fitness Technician program.  She completed an internship training Salt Lake Community College students on campus working directly with their “Exercise Is Medicine” program.  She also had the opportunity to work in a Special Populations internship training one of Salt Lake Community Colleges nutrition professors.  She is certified through the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) as a Personal Trainer, and also completed her 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training and is certified in TRX.

Robert Liessmann, Coach

Robert completed his Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology with a minor in Nutrition from the University of Utah. During that time Robert worked as a CNA, and this fueled his passion to achieve his degree in Kinesiology to be able to help people live healthier lives. Robert is currently a Sargent First Class in the US Army, and has served for the last 12 years. Robert is a Certified Functional Strength Coach through CFSC, as well as a certified Hardstyle Kettlebell Coach (HKC).  During the first 3 years of his training career, he has experience working with all ages focused on many goals from fat loss to athletes looking to improve sport performance, cardiac and pulmonary patients, post-PT patients, and those getting ready to join the service.

Robert enjoys spending his free time focusing on his own physical training to be ready for any and all missions. He enjoys running and backpacking to get away from all the little things of daily life. He loves to help others live a healthier life by having healthier habits. Robert lives by the daily mantra of “last one best one.”

 Sarah Hunt, Coach

Sarah acquired a passion for fitness through many outdoor activities that she loves – skiing, hiking, biking, and climbing. Sarah graduated from the University of Utah with her bachelors in Entrepreneurship and a minor in Nutrition.  Sarah is certified through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. With a passion for nutrition and fitness, she plans to continue her education and obtain more certifications. Sarah’s passion for the outdoors is what fuels her training. She firmly believes that getting stronger in the gym will improve performance while exercising recreationally.  

 Abbey Bronzati, Coach

Born and raised in Salt Lake City, Abbey has always had a passion for holistic health and wellness fueled by body movement and sustainable healthy habits. Her passions led her to receive a bachelors of science in Kinesiology with a minor in Health from the University of Utah.  With over 6 years of work experience improving the human condition in the fitness and health industries she understands the importance of individualized assessment, programming and maintenance. She is currently working towards her ACSM Personal Trainer Certification.

Abbey loves to get 1% better every day by incorporating mindfulness and meditation practices into her daily routine. She also enjoys reading, trail running, and testing healthy recipes with her husband in her free time. The most rewarding thing at work for her is to see clients recognize and celebrate their victories (big or small) as their health and fitness journey unfolds.

 

 Ben Fogel, Owner

For over a decade Ben has been coaching people of all types and backgrounds. As a former World Cup and World Championship athlete himself, he’s learned from some of the best in the world how to be a great coach and mentor.

Ben graduated with honors in Exercise Science from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. He holds both NASM and CHEK certifications, among many others. Ben spends a great deal of his time learning, growing, and increasing his knowledge in order to benefit his clients.  He loves seeing all of his members achieve their goals!

As important as anything, he lives by the concept of getting 1% better everyday.  It is his goal for you to get 1% better each time you step into Epic Fitness, and that is when magical things will happen!
